General Information
Learning to dive is an adventure that can change your life. Close
friendships are forged; skills developed and whole new worlds are
opened up for exploration. Diving is open to all, young or not so
young, confident or apprehensive, all you have to be is reasonably
fit and willing to have a go!
Here at BRENTWOOD SELO we offer try-diving
bubble sessions for you to dip your toe into the diving world and
see if it's for you, just

for more information. After your bubble, if you would then like to
learn to dive you need to
join our club and become a
BSAC member.
We are then able to offer you a
comprehensive training package to become an Ocean Diver, which is
your passport to diving in Britain and abroad. Once club membership
is confirmed all equipment you require to achieve your first diving
qualification is free for you to use. Some new members prefer to
bring along their own snorkel, mask and fins, which is fine, but
don't feel that you have to buy any equipment to join, as all kit
will be provided for your use whilst you are training.
The club is affiliated to the British
Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) and BSAC is recognised as the governing body
for the sport in the UK and is the largest single diving club in the
world with 43,000 members and 1,200 branches worldwide. BSAC are
responsible for establishing and monitoring recreational diving
standards and also actively campaigns both to preserve access to the
sea for amateur divers and for the conservation of the marine world.
BSAC membership (annual subscription)
includes third-party liability insurance and a monthly copy of DIVE
magazine. By joining
BRENTWOOD-SELO you will be
able to benefit from training, take part in diving weekends and
diving holidays home and abroad as well as our social activities of
which there are many. Friday evenings will never be boring again!
